  3. History. Madman Across the Water was the fourth studio album released by Elton John, as well as his third album to be released in , at which point John had been rising to prominence as a popular music contains 9 tracks, each composed and performed by John and with lyrics written by songwriting partner Bernie Taupin as with his previous lecalaregennond.brakparmosymsoulawestutelsulipetp.coer: Gus Dudgeon.
  4. Certainly the album’s title track “Madman Across The Water” is one of the weakest numbers on the album, yet it comes off as a series of musical acrobatics, where again the lyrics don’t match up with the ideas, though with the song being about madness, perhaps that makes sense, but then there’s that huge arrangement of charging stings.
  5. General CommentOn Madman Across the Water there's the two big hits that everyone's heard a million times on the radio "Tiny Dancer" and "Levon" (both excellent songs of course) but there's 3 songs on the last half of the album that are just as superb and they go together perfectly and they are "Holiday Inn" "Rotten Peaches" and "All the Nasties" in that order.
  6. Madman Across the Water Lyrics: I can see very well / There's a boat on the reef with a broken back / And I can see it very well / There's a joke and I know it very well / It's one of those that I.

  8. "Indian Sunset" is another highlight bringing Elton and Bernie back to the old west of "Tumbleweed Connection". The last 3 songs "Rotten Peaches", "All The Nasties" and "Goodbye" are a slight step down from the rest of the album, but still good songs. If you are an Elton John fan "Madman Across The Water" is a must own album/5().
